Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: May 10th, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of services provided by:
- Ritual Training Bend, a DBA of Ritual Training Bend, LLC
- Ritual Training Portland, a DBA of Emily Johnson Fitness, Inc.
(collectively, “Ritual Training,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By purchasing a membership, booking services, or using our facilities, you agree to these Terms.
1. Memberships & Billing
Ritual Training offers various memberships which may include a recurring monthly allotment of sessions or unlimited access depending on the membership selected.
Certain memberships, promotional offers, or services may require a one-time enrollment, activation, onboarding, or setup fee as disclosed at the time of purchase.
Memberships are billed on a recurring basis and automatically renew unless canceled in accordance with these Terms.
Membership payments are automatically charged to the payment method on file on the member’s billing date, and members agree to maintain accurate and valid payment information at all times.
2. Automatic Payments
By purchasing a membership, you authorize Ritual Training to automatically charge the payment method on file for all recurring membership dues, applicable fees, late cancellation charges, no-show fees, retail purchases, and other authorized charges associated with your account.
It is your responsibility to maintain accurate and current billing information at all times. Ritual Training is not responsible for overdraft fees, declined transactions, or processing issues resulting from expired or inaccurate payment information.
If a payment cannot be successfully processed, Ritual Training reserves the right to suspend access to services until the account balance has been resolved. Declined or failed payments are subject to a $25 late payment fee for each failed billing attempt or delinquent billing cycle. Accounts that remain unpaid may be referred to collections or other recovery processes where permitted by law.
3. Studio Reinvestment Fee
To support ongoing equipment replacement, facility improvements, maintenance, and continued investment into the training environment, members agree to a recurring Studio Reinvestment Fee of $35 charged twice annually on or around May 1 and November 1.
This fee is separate from standard membership dues and helps support long-term improvements to the training experience, equipment, and facility environment.
The Studio Reinvestment Fee applies to all active memberships unless otherwise specified in writing by Ritual Training.
Ritual Training reserves the right to modify the timing or amount of the Studio Reinvestment Fee upon reasonable notice to members.
4. Initial Term & Cancellation
Memberships may be subject to an initial commitment term established at the point of sale.
Once the designated initial term has been completed, members may request cancellation at any time. All cancellation requests must be formally submitted through the official member portal or by written notice to the designated Ritual Training contact email and will become effective at the conclusion of the final billing cycle.
Ritual Training does not provide prorated refunds for remaining time, sessions, or services within a billing period.
5. Refunds, Billing Disputes & Chargebacks
All sales are final. Except where required by law or otherwise determined by Ritual Training, no refunds will be issued for memberships, services, products, fees, or unused sessions.
Members agree to contact Ritual Training directly regarding any billing concerns prior to initiating a charge dispute or chargeback with their financial institution.
By agreeing to these Terms, members acknowledge and agree not to initiate chargebacks for valid or authorized charges, including recurring membership dues, applicable fees, late cancellation charges, no-show fees, or purchases made in accordance with this Agreement.
Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership access. Members remain responsible for any outstanding balances owed to Ritual Training.
6. Booking, Late Cancel & No-Show Policy
Sessions must be canceled within the applicable cancellation window established by Ritual Training for the booked session or service. Most sessions require cancellation at least four (4) hours prior to the scheduled start time; however, certain sessions, class types, or time slots may be subject to different cancellation windows as communicated through the booking platform, schedule, or studio policies.
Late cancellations and no-shows may result in a $15 fee and/or loss of session credit depending on membership type, booking type, or promotional offer.
Valid cancellations must be completed through the member’s account or the official booking system. Messages sent via text, email, social media, or verbal communication do not constitute valid cancellation.
7. Late Arrival & Waitlist Policy
Clients are expected to arrive on time and ready to begin their session. A brief grace period may be permitted at the discretion of staff; however, entry may be denied for late arrivals in order to protect the safety, flow, and quality of the session.
If a client has not arrived by the scheduled session start time, their spot may be released to a waitlisted client. If a client is denied entry due to late arrival, the booking will be treated as a no-show and subject to the applicable late cancellation or no-show policy.
If a session is full, clients may join the waitlist. Clients are responsible for managing their own bookings and waitlist status through the booking platform. Clients may be automatically added to a session from the waitlist as spots become available. If a client is added to a session within the applicable cancellation window, the booking remains subject to the standard late cancellation and no-show policy.
8. Membership Usage & Expiration
Memberships, session credits, and class packs are non-transferable and may only be used by the assigned account holder. Sessions and credits must be used within the applicable billing cycle or expiration period associated with the purchased membership or package. Unused sessions, credits, or services do not roll over and will be forfeited upon expiration. Extensions will not be granted.
9. Membership Hold Policy
Members may place their membership on hold for up to three (3) months per calendar year, subject to the following terms:
- Membership holds require a minimum duration of fourteen (14) days. After the initial 14-day minimum, hold durations and return dates are managed in full-week increments.
- A $35 hold fee applies for each 30-day hold period or portion thereof. For example, a 14-day hold and a 30-day hold would each incur a $35 fee, while a 45-day or 60-day hold would incur two $35 hold fees, billed 30 days apart.
- Members may return early from a hold after the initial 14-day minimum has elapsed, provided the return date aligns with the completion of a full hold week.
- Hold requests must be submitted at least three (3) business days prior to the requested hold start date. Retroactive holds will not be granted.
- Memberships must have a valid payment method on file in order to process a hold request.
- Membership commitment terms will be paused during approved hold periods and extended by the total duration of the hold.
- Memberships may not be cancelled while on hold. Cancellation requests may be submitted once the membership has been reactivated.
- Medical holds may qualify for a waived hold fee with submission of a valid physician’s note or medical documentation acceptable to Ritual Training.
- Hold privileges are limited to a maximum of three (3) months per calendar year unless otherwise required by applicable law.
- Ritual Training reserves the right to approve, deny, modify, or discontinue membership hold privileges at its discretion.
10. Schedule, Instructors & Communication
Schedules, instructors, session offerings, and services are subject to change, modification, or cancellation at any time.
When possible, notifications will be sent via email or other communication methods.
By maintaining an account, you consent to receive communications related to your bookings and services.
Ritual Training is not responsible for missed communications, including messages not received due to unsubscribing or failure to review notifications.
11. Studio Policies & Conduct
You agree to follow all studio rules and staff instructions.
Ritual Training reserves the right to refuse service, remove individuals from sessions or facilities, and/or terminate memberships without refund for behavior determined to be unsafe, disruptive, abusive, inappropriate, or otherwise materially inconsistent with the studio environment.
12. Media Release
By attending workouts, events, or activities at Ritual Training, you grant Ritual Training permission to capture and use photographs, video recordings, and other media content in which you may appear for marketing, promotional, social media, educational, or commercial purposes without compensation.
Ritual Training will make reasonable efforts to accommodate written requests from members who prefer not to be featured in individually focused or identifiable marketing content; however, members acknowledge that complete exclusion from incidental background inclusion in group photography or video cannot be guaranteed in an active group training environment.
13. Security Cameras
For safety and security, certain locations may use video surveillance in common areas where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy.
By entering the facility, you acknowledge and consent to such recording.
14. Third-Party Services
We use third-party platforms for booking, payments, and communications, including Mariana Tek.
By using our services, you agree to comply with applicable third-party terms.
15. Force Majeure
Ritual Training will not be liable for any delay, interruption, reduction, modification, or inability to provide services resulting from events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, severe weather, fire, smoke events, floods, pandemics, public health emergencies, governmental actions or restrictions, mandatory closures, power or utility outages, labor disputes, civil unrest, war, terrorism, transportation disruptions, equipment failures, internet or technology failures, or other unforeseen events or conditions that make operations inadvisable, impracticable, unsafe, or impossible.
In such circumstances, Ritual Training reserves the right to modify operations, schedules, services, staffing, facility access, or membership terms as reasonably necessary to respond to the situation.
No refunds, credits, damages, or compensation shall be owed for service interruptions, closures, or modifications resulting from such events unless otherwise required by law. Membership agreements and payment obligations shall remain in effect during such periods unless otherwise determined by Ritual Training or required by applicable law.
16. Mutual Non-Disparagement
Ritual Training values open, respectful communication and encourages members to bring any concerns directly to our team so we have the opportunity to address and resolve issues thoughtfully.
Both parties agree not to knowingly make false, malicious, or intentionally harmful statements about the other party, Ritual Training, its staff, contractors, services, or members.
Nothing in this section limits either party’s right to provide truthful statements, reviews, or legally protected communications.
17. Age Requirement
All clients must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.
19. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
